About the Trip

Travel with your GSCV team to Savannah, Georgia, the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, founder of Girl Scouts. Discover what her life was like in the 1880s as we tour historic Savannah and participate in workshops at the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace and Girl Scout First Headquarters.

This action-packed weekend will show us the beauty and excitement of Girl Scout adventures in Savannah. We’ll explore the historic district, learn about Juliette Gordon Low and Girl Scout history, go scouting for spirits, get our feet wet on a maritime adventure, find pirates, and so much more!

Trip Details

Trip Dates: October 16–19, 2026
Cost: $750 per participant (based on four people per hotel room)
Registration Opens: October 31, 2025
Payment Schedule:

$100 deposit due upon registration (counts toward the total fee)
First payment: January 15, 2026
Final payment: August 1, 2026

Fee Includes: Travel, hotel accommodations, tours, three (3) dinners, two (2) lunches, and three (3) breakfasts.
Mandatory Meeting: All participants must attend a preparatory meeting on September 27, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the GSCV Richmond Service Center.
Cancellation Policy: January 15, 2026, is the last day to cancel and receive a refund (minus deposit). After this date, refunds cannot be issued.

Who Should Apply?

Age: Girl Scouts entering grades 5–12, or those who have just graduated 12th grade in summer 2026.
Recommended Experience for Juniors: Completion of at least one Short Trip.
Interests: Girl Scout history, exploring historic cities, art, and culture.
Requirements: Teamwork, a positive attitude, and the ability to walk long distances (up to 10,000 steps per day), sometimes in hot weather.
Equipment: A packing list will be provided after acceptance.
