Issues of the world, meet your match. 

Gold Award Girl Scouts are the dreamers and the doers who take “make the world a better place” to the next level.

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the mark of the truly remarkable—proof that not only can she make a difference, but that she already has.

Seniors and Ambassadors who earn the Gold Award tackle issues that are dear to them and drive lasting change in their communities and beyond. Think of the Gold Award as a key that can open doors to scholarships, preferred admission tracks for college, and amazing career opportunities.

Gold Award 101 Training

This training is required for Girl Scouts who plan to pursue their Gold Award. Upon completion Girl Scouts need to complete the Gold Award preparedness quiz. This training will also be offered live though Zoom several times per year. If you would  prefer to attend a live training please contact [email protected] to receive the details as well as the link. Troop Leaders and parents are welcome to view this training to gain a better understanding of the process.

After completing the Gold Award 101 training please take 3-5 minutes to compete this Gold Award preparedness survey. This documents that you have taken the required training and will help us determine how best to adapt our training.

Gold Award Brainstorming Sessions

Brainstorming sessions will be held throughout the year for girls considering their project and wanting to discuss it with a member or the Gold Award Review Committee prior to submitting her proposal. This step is optional and not a requirement. To participate in one or all these sessions, please contact [email protected] for the participation (Zoom) link. These brainstorming sessions will be held on:

·        Sunday, November 21, 1pm

·        Sunday, January 16, 1pm

·        Sunday, March 20, 1pm

·        Sunday, May 15, 1pm

·        Sunday, August 21, 1pm

Gold Award Committee Review dates

Once a girl’s project proposal has been submitted through Go Gold Online, she will be contacted to schedule participation in her Gold Award Committee Review. This review is a requirement in earning the Gold Award and gives a girl the opportunity to share her proposal with a team of volunteers dedicated to supporting her successfully in her project.

Girl Scout Gold Award pin
You can pursue your Girl Scout Gold Award if:

You're in high school (ninth through twelfth grade, or equivalent) 


You're registered as a Girl Scout Senior or Girl Scout Ambassador


You have completed two Senior or Ambassador Journeys OR earned the Girl Scout Silver Award and completed a Journey
