Attention Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors! You’ve all been making the world a better place, so lets recognize your dedication to the community. We hope you consider applying for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award. The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. The program was created in 1995 by Prudential in partnership with NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Principals) to honor middle level and high school students for outstanding service to others at the local, state, and national level.
To apply you must do the following:
- Apply online at www.nassp.org/spirit before November 4th.
- Print a copy of your application and mail or hand deliver it to Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia, 4900 Augusta Avenue, Suite 200, Richmond, VA 23230 to the attention of Sheila Johnston, Chief Operating Officer before November 4th.
A panel of Girl Scout volunteers will review all applicants and choose one to nominate to the state level competition. You must complete both steps to the application process in order to be considered for the next level of competition.
Good luck to all our amazing Girl Scouts!
