Girl Scout Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Girl Scout Movement. Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia deeply values its volunteers for their contributions in developing girl leaders. Girl Scouts of the USA established a formal recognition process to recognize registered adult members who have made outstanding contributions that are beyond the expectations of their position.
Volunteers and staff across all departments and functions within the Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia are encouraged to participate in the nomination of adults for these formal awards.
Below is a summary of the GSUSA Adult Awards and recognitions. Detailed information of each may be found by clicking on the name of each award. Nomination forms and Endorsement Letters may be found in each summary and also in the Forms section of this website.
The Adult Awards Committee will meet in May to review the nominations packets. In some cases, additional information is sought. In those cases, the nominator will be contacted and have 5 business days to submit the additional information requested.
May 1, 2014 is the deadline for nomination packets for ALL of the Awards listed below.
