The Virginia War Memorial honors all Virginia veterans, but those who were killed in action during World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Persian Gulf War are particularly honored in the Memorial’s Shrine of Memory.  Spend the morning at the memorial participating in a scavenger hunt, joining in a World War II decoding activity, making paracord bracelets, watching films, and learning about women’s role in the military. Each girl will leave with a patch as well.

This is a girl-only event, no tagalongs.  Troops can attend together or a Girl Scout can bring her parent (provided they are a registered Girl Scout).  Registered adults need to stay on-site to meet safety ratios.  Girl Scouts cannot be ‘dropped off’ and should be under adult supervision at all times (troop leader or parent).

Max – 50 / Min - 10
