Girl Scout Mission:
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. |
New Girl Scout Recognition Program
In support of the Girl Scout Mission, Commonwealth is pleased to announce a new recognition program event that will honor and recognize Girl Scouts who have reached the pinnacle in leadership excellence.
The 2006 recipients of the Girl Scout Gold Award, Teen Girls of Distinction Scholarship Program and the Girl Scout Leadership Scholarship will be presented in a grand recognition program event. This inaugural occasion will take place May 2007, in the metro Richmond community. The joint recognition event will allow a presentation to the community of the impact Girl Scouting has on girls’ lives through their achievements in leadership development, community service and academics.
