Description:
This module provides a general overview of Girl Scouting
including its history, the Promise and Law, The three
keys to the leadership experience, and the Girl Scout
processes. Leaders should take this training prior to
taking Leadership Essentials or Welcome to Girl
Scouting.
On-Line:
This training takes about 45 minutes to complete. There
are 39 pages to the training, plus a learning log for
answering questions.

Leadership Essentials
Description:
After completing this course, participants will be able
to; explain the meaning of the 3 keys of the Girl Scout
Leadership Experience; demonstrate how to use resources
to support the delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership
Experience, including the Journeys with accompanying
Facilitator’s Guides; describe how to facilitate
activities so they are girl-led, cooperative and
learning-by-doing; convey the value of inner leadership
practices for themselves and for the girls

training as instructed.
You will need a Journey book and the accompanying
leaders guide to complete this training
