Sponsorships/Grants from Businesses, Civic Organizations, Corporations and Foundations
Girl Scout Commonwealth Council of Virginia offers our corporate sponsors attractive packages of recognition in thanks for your financial support, beginning at $1,000 per year.  Opportunities include sponsorship of Awards Ceremonies, Alumnae Events and other Annual and Special Gatherings.  The Council also applies for and receives grants from foundations, Girl Scouts of the USA and governmental foundations.  GSCC relies on gifts from businesses, corporations, civic organizations and foundations to provide quality leadership development programs for girls in central Virginia.

Listed below are a few grant programs funded by foundations:

  • STELLAR Program –  After School Program funded by Philip Morris USA, for $25,000 to serve girls in the city of Richmond with after school programs that provide training, workshops, resources, materials, mentors, hands-on experience, and role models to address self esteem issues, academic performance, leadership development and career opportunities.
  • Girls Go Tech – Funded by the Cameron Foundation for $25,000 to provide math, science, and technology programs to girls living in Hopewell and Petersburg.
