Camp Kittamaqund
Plans are underway to get the camp in condition for spring troop camping.
As stated in the March 2007 Camp Kittamaqund Update by council President Tina Dickerson, “I must admit that this is becoming a difficult task. Things continue to happen at Camp Kittamaqund requiring additional monetary resources.” The spring camp season will be April through June 2007.

Camp Staff Reunions
Camp Staff reunions have not been developed at this time. Further information regarding such an event or activity will be announced at the appropriate time. Girl program events such as Surf –N-Turf or Adventure Weekends are designed for girl program activities only. Staff and volunteer involvement are predetermined and assigned. Only authorized staff and volunteers will be permitted to participate in girl programs and activities.
Unauthorized persons will not be permitted to attend these events.
Volunteer Positions at Council Program Events and Activities
There are volunteer opportunities for the following events: Surf-N-Turf and the two Adventure Weekend events. To be considered for a volunteer position, please complete the Camp Volunteer Service Form (CVSF) which can be found on the website, www.comgirlscouts.org. You can also receive the form by contacting Samantha Felton, GSCC, P.O, Box 548, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. The deadline to submit your CVSF is March 16, for Surf N Turf I, and April 4, for Surf N Turf II. You must bring your confirmation letter of appointment with you to camp and present it to the ranger before you are admitted on the camp property. Persons who show up without a letter of authorization will not be permitted to remain on the property. No exceptions.
Visitations by adults to view the property or participate in volunteer or other activities at Camp Kittamaqund and Pamunkey Ridge Girl Scout Camp are by appointment only and through written or authorized permission. To make a request, please use the Camp Volunteer Service Form.
