Girl Scout Commonwealth Council of Virginia, Inc. Announcement: Criminal Background Check Policy

The Girl Scout Commonwealth Council Board of Directors approved the following as council policy at the March 13, 2008 board meeting:

1.     Background screening policy for volunteer applicants and current adult volunteers, effective April 1, 2008.

2.     The use of Intellicorp®, an online nationwide provider of background checks for employment and volunteer screening. 

3.     That individuals applying to become Girl Scout volunteers and current volunteers pay $1.50 for background screening.
